Preston Christian Action Network

We would like to invite you to a special meeting of

Preston Christian Action Network.

This will take place from 12:30pm at St Matthew's mission,

Acregate Lane, Preston PR1 5QQ

on Thursday March 22nd

As usual we will begin by sharing lunch. At about 1 o'clock after some brief devotions we will take the opportunity to share relevant news of what has been happening in our churches and projects.

Following this from about 2.15 p.m. until 4 p.m. we have arranged a special training session where we will have an opportunity to learn about universal credit, what it means to people on benefits and how we as Church or project workers and volunteers can help support our members or service users in managing their money under this new benefits regime. The afternoon session will be widely advertised as a stand-alone training session across the voluntary and community sector so we expect to be joined for the afternoon by a good number of people who would not normally attend our PCAN meetings.

We hope you will be able to join us for the whole of the afternoon, but understand if you can only stay for part. As usual we will take up a collection to cover the cost of food and a donation to the church for the use of the building. We suggest a donation of £3 per person for the lunch and if you wish to stay for the training session we would be grateful if you can contribute at least £5 to help cover the expenses of our trainer. (We are selling tickets to staff in the other sectors at £15 a time)

Full details of the training session and registration forms can be found on Eventbrite. If you are fairly certain to stay for the training session we would really appreciate it if you could book a ticket.

A light lunch will be available.
